Dolce & Gabbana
New York, NY
In close cooperation with the Italian designer Studio +arch of Milano, SawickiTarella helped orchestrate the expansion and reworking of the existing Dolce & Gabbana store into a three-story flagship for both the women’s and men’s collections. The new boutique, which now encompasses the corner of the block, underwent dramatic structural interventions and required approvals from the New York City Landmarks Commission. The project involved implementing the luxury retailer’s new materials and lighting concepts, including dark walnut wood, black and mirrored glass panels, Basaltina volcanic- stone flooring, and spectacular Murano glass chandeliers and sconces. The dazzling effects have added a dramatic presence to this part of the Avenue, both in daylight and at night.
